Steam Mill Brewing in Bethel, Maine is owned and operated by James Kimball and is located at 96 Sunday River Rd. Our beer features local ingredients such as Maine malt and local hops. We utilize local landmarks for inspiration in naming our beer. We offer a full range of beer, cocktails and spirits. James has background in the hospitality as he studied at SMCC and graduated with a Culinary Arts degree. He is a local Telstar High School Graduate. Once a small tap room in downtown Bethel with 13 seats. James bought into SMB in October 2020 and has turned his dreams to reality with now in its 4th season at its new location on the access road to Sunday River Ski resort. This location now seats 150 people inside and 275 people outside "summer".  James has used his connections and friends he has met while traveling around the US to put together an amazing team. Chef Dan Boyd grew up in Mass and has worked in kitchens his whole life. He has a passion for food and gardening and golf. He brings the creativeness and energy to the table every day. 

Steam Mill is a very active restaurant and brewery and loves to entertain our guests. With events happening year round like Live Music 3-4 days a week, Drag Shows, Dj's, Private events, Weddnings, Holiday parties you name it. 

James and staff have always tried to keep things fresh as possible with seasonal menu changes, new events and always new merch that you can't miss out on.
